The Firm Mission

To guarantee and speed up physical and health culture and recreation of the citizens of the town of Zadar by using sports buildings, to bring closer competitive sports in the cathegory where they have not participated up to now, or where they have participated just a little.

The Firm Vision

Integration of the Sports Center Višnjik in the market economy, social events and all sports sub-areas:

•   Physical and health culture (in the area of education);

•   Competitive sports (all kinds and cathegories);

•   Sports recreation (sports for everybody);

•   Kinesytherapy and sports for disabled persons;

•   Sports tourism (organizing big sports performances and competitions:

    Quolified Representative Matches, Final Contests on different systems of  

    competitions e.g. NLB and ULEB systems of competitions in basketball,

    European and World Championships, Universiade, etc.

Sports and cultural events (camps, festivals, fairs, exhibitions, concerts and similar).

Since its opening in May of 2008, Sports center Višnjik Ltd. became the destination of major sporting events.

The first and great competition, which immediately showed all the functionality of the Krešimir Ćosić Hall was a qualifying tournament in handball for the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008 between the national teams of Croatia, Russia, Japan and Algeria, held from 30 May to 1 July 2008.

After a successful tournament, the Croatian handball team, delighted with the conditions in the Hall, held preolimpic preparations from 1 to 15 June 2008.

In the period from 01 July to 01 September 2008, intensive works were continued on the completion of 4 additional halls as well as on elimination of the deficiencies in the Krešimir Ćosić Hall, which have contributed to releasing in full operation a big hall (1 September) and four additional halls (1 November).

 By the end of 2008, in the Krešimir Ćosić Hall were held the following sporting events:

• 19 - 21 September – Davis Cup Croatia – Brazil
• 21 -  23 September - Basketball Tournament “To the city with love”
• BC Zadar played 7 official matches of NLB
• BC Zadar played 2 official matches of Eurocup

In addition to sporting events Krešimir Ćosić hall proved to be an ideal place for organizing concert events, both international and Croatian artists. The following concerts were held with great success:

• 6 September, 2008 – Hungarian Gipsy Orchestra
• 9 October, 2008 – Concert Mišo Kovač
• 6 December, 2008 – Concert Prljavo Kazalište

Besides the big hall, a few fun-fair events have showed that additional halls can also have a polyvalent function other than the primary sport purpose for recreation and sport clubs:

• 16 October, 2008 - Miss Universe for Zadar County (Hall 2)
• 20 - 23 November, 2008 - Construction Fair "Constructa 2008" - (Hall 1,2,4)
• 12 December, 2008 - Dance event "Samba" (Hall 3)
• 23 December, 2008 - Christmas party of agency Media-ZD (VIP saloon)

When additional halls were completely finished and equipped, contracts were concluded with 26 users of sports and recreational activities that take place daily in these halls from 08 to 22 hours in the following sports: basketball, volleyball, rhythmic and sports gymnastics and indoor soccer.

By the end of 2009, in the Krešimir Ćosić Hall were held the following sporting events:

• BC Zadar played 14 official matches of NLB
• BC Zadar played 10 official matches of Eurocup
• BC Zadar played 12 official matches of Croatian Championships
• BC Zadar played 4 official matches of Cup of Krešimir Ćosić
• Veterans of BC Zadar played a friendly match with veterans of BC Real
• 6 – 12 January, 2009 – Croatian Indoor Soccer Championship
• 24 - 27 January, 2009 - 2009 World Men's Handball Championship
• 20 – 27 June, 2009 - 1st World and 14th European Dart Championship

Krešimir Ćosić Hall, except for sporting events, proved to be excellent for musical events. The following concerts were held with great success:

• 12 February, 2009 – Concert Mladen Grdović
• 23 April, 2009 – Concert klapa Intrade and Oliver Dragojević
• 28 May, 2009 – Concert Tony Cetinski
• 22 October, 2009 – Humanitarian concert “Za ljepši dom”
• 12 November, 2009 – Concert Dražen Zečić
• 6 December, 2009 – Concert Parni Valjak
• 13 December, 2009 - Christmas Gala Concert
• 20 December, 2009 – Concert “Starry Christmas in Zadar”

At the end of the calendar year, or more precisely 31st December, 2009 a New Year's Eve was organized in the hall Krešimir Ćosić with the guest DJ David Morales.

Along with big hall, additional halls continued in 2009 with theirs polyvalent function other than the primary sport purpose for recreation and sport clubs:

• January 2009 - The best athletes of the Zadar County Award (VIP saloon)
• February 2009 - Construction Fair "Constructa 2009" - (Hall 1,2)
• April 2009 – Presentation “Days of Chevrolet” (Press saloon)
• 15 December 2009 - Dance event "Samba" (Hall 3)

VIP saloon and Press saloon have proved to be excellent places for organizations of banquets, small events, meetings, exhibitions, ecc.

In 2009 contracts were concluded with 34 users of sports and recreational activities that take place daily in these halls from 08 to 22 hours in the following sports: basketball, volleyball, rhythmic and sports gymnastics and indoor soccer.

In the spring 2009 works were continued on the completion of indoor swimming pool at the Sports Center Višnjik Ltd., and official opening took place on 14 May 2009.

In terms of commercial swimming the swimming pool was open to the public, for individuals and sports clubs, on 10 June of 2009. In this period, together with works, the deficiencies in technique of the swimming pool and on the facility were eliminated.

In early August, the swimming pool was closed for a period of one month to eliminate the deficiencies within the pool shell. From September the swimming pool is available every day and all day to sports clubs and citizens.

By the end of 2009 contracts were concluded with 26 users of sports and recreational activities that take place daily in swimming pools from 08 to 22 hours in the following sports: swimming, diving, water polo, long-distance swimming.

In November, in collaboration with the Centre for the exercise of the University of Zadar, we’ve organized a seminar and presentation of aqua aerobic. Because the interest of the citizens for aqua aerobic was big, we've included it in the offer of the indoor swimming pool under the guidance of experts and trainers.

By the end of 2009, in the indoor swimming pool Višnjik were held the following sporting events:

• May and June 2009 - Championship Matches - I. B Croatian Volleyball League
• May 2009 - Competition “Liga Hrvatska "- 5. round – Diving (jumping into water)
• 10 September, 2009 – “Small schools of Olympics“
• 12 – 13 September, 2009 - The tournament finale - younger juniors - "B" Championship RH (water polo)
• 30 October, 2009 - Regional swimming competitions for primary schools
• 14 November, 2009 – I. round of Croatian League – Diving (jumping into water)
• 21 – 22 November, 2009 – Swimming meeting “Sv.Krševan”
• 2 December, 2009 - Christmas meeting in long-distance swimming
• 19 – 20 December, 2009 - Final tournament - Croatian Water Polo Cup

Business management of Višnjik Ltd. saw that the Krešimir Ćosić Hall and closed swimming pools are suitable due to the large number of users for advertising of other companies. Correspondingly expanded activity on marketing and prepared the necessary documentation for the lease of advertising space in the hall and swimming pool.

In October, the exact 10th October, 2009 on the north side of the Hall is open café "Golden VIP", which is fully owned Sports centre Višnjik Ltd.

In the spring of 2009 we started to edit so called boxes of the ring corridor of Krešimir Ćosić Hall on elevation 0.00. The boxes were (8 boxes), on 25th August according contract of lease, hired to the company Turisthotel Inc. to conduct commercial activities.

In order to improve business activity of the company in October 2009 we’ve launched the official web site of the sports center Višnjik Ltd. which is updated daily, and where every citizen can promptly find all the information related to the work and events in the Krešimir Ćosić Hall, additional halls and indoor swimming pools.
